How securely are hairdressers mirrors attatched to the wall?

I am a VERY anxious person, and I was in the hairdressers earlier (don't ask, lol) and I was tapping the metal footrest thing against the wall under the mirror. Not *very* hard, but it was still touching the wall and I wasn't sure exactly how forceful it was.

The mirror is a little shorter than the height of the wall it's on, and is secured to the wall near the top and bottom.

I'm worried that somehow the mirror is going to fall off the wall, or something like that.

Is it possible for this to happen? I assume these mirrors are attatched firmly to the wall to prevent this happening... maybe...

Anyone? Cheers :o)How securely are hairdressers mirrors attatched to the wall?
There is no standard. You are entirely dependent on the whim of the interior decorator who designed the salon. Next time you're there, just jiggle and pull on it to convince yourself it's safe or not. They will think you're crazy, so just explain that, yes, you are indeed crazy :-)How securely are hairdressers mirrors attatched to the wall?
It does not matter where the mirror is, you show good sense in being concerned about how secure the mirror is mounted, glass is very heavy and dangerous, it probably is safe but stay well away from it if you have doubts.
I think that's a safe assumption - mirrors are expensive, and law suits are even more so!
