It's not the same almost at all. When you get your hair bleached in salons, there is a back room that they mix many different things. Hair stylists have to learn the codes of hair colors and what of those to mix together to get the exact right color and bleach is made the same way. There are many steps in creating the bleach, and they buy it in bulk from a good quality company. They have also been trained in the proper way to bleach hair. The last thing is, stylists use something called toner, which adds a more natural color to the bleach, and toner can't be bought in stores, only used in salons.

There isn't much of a difference. Bleach kits come with developer and powdered bleach. Developer comes in different weights, like 20, 30, and 40. Professionals know which strength would be best for your hair texture, condition, and the desired shade. With bleach kits, the weight usually isn't specified--if it's too strong, your hair can dry out, too weak and your hair may turn red or will not be light enough.
The bleach in the hair salons is more concentrated than the bleach sold at the drug store.
I think it's the same. Gives the same outcome that is. Only diff. is that the hairdressers do it --sometimes better.
