My hair is annoyingly long (up to my waist) and I want to get it cut, would it be ok to go to the hairdressers to get it cut or would I have to wait till all the nits are gone? :(Is it ok to go to the hairdressers with nits?
You should go with nits and spread them all over the city you live in.Is it ok to go to the hairdressers with nits?
If you were to come into my salon with nits in your hair, you can't even imagine how angry I would be.
I have NEVER had a regular client come into my salon with lice or nits but I have had ';walk-ins'; come in with them. I am usually suspicious when someone walks in off the street with a child with very long hair and they want it cut short. I will casually check their hair and if they have nits, I politely send them away and tell them that they can come back when all the nits are gone.
When someone comes into a salon with lice and/or nits, it causes a lot of work for me. I have to sanitize everything that the person comes in contact with. That usually means the waiting area chairs, the cape, my station, everything!
So, if you want your long, waist length hair cut, you need to work very hard with that nit comb and make sure they are all out. It will save you some embarrassment when the hair stylist sends you out of the shop and will keep the hairstylist from getting pissed off.
In TN where I have my salon, it is a state board rule that when you are cutting hair and you find lice and/or nits in the hair, you stop cutting immediately. I hate to but I will send you out with half a haircut.
Just wait until all the nits are gone.
NO hairdressers are not licensed to treat this condition, As they can and should diagnose this condition, they r not legally licensed to treat. Should b refer-ed to ur family physician for proper treatment. If u still have nits or (dead eggs) u can purchase a good nit removal comb at any pharmacy, ask ur pharmacist for the best comb avail for ur hair Length and type. Try hot oil treatments to help the removal. Just make sure u follow the directions exactly.
Would you feel comfortable getting a pedicure with the same instruments that someone with a foot fungal infection had used on them?? Ofcourse not, its the same principle here, dont spread the nits so that every person who has their hair combed their gets a nit. Just use the shampoo and nit comb and then go to the hairdressers.
You should not go until you have got rid of your nits. I am a hairdresser and if you went with your nits you would end up being embarrassed as they would have to tell you they wouldn't be able to do it. If they started they would then need to burn the towels they used and disinfect there tools.
This would not be nice for you or the hairdresser. Best to waite.
It would be terribly wrong for you to go with nits. They would spread to other people. Get rid of them yourself with a shampoo you can purchase, and then go get your hair cut. There will be dead nits in your hair still so be sure to tell the hairdresser that they are dead so that she doesn't run you off.
ehm...not exactly. You should get rid of the nits first. I don't think your hairdresser would be happy to see parasites spreading around her salon. If you really wanna get it cut then do it yourself first and when you're free from the nits, get your hair styled the way you like.
Do not go to the hairdresser with nits in your hair. They couldn't do anything to your hair and will suggest you see a doctor and send you on your way.
You need to see your family physician. They could prescribe something for you.
like lice eggs? It would be really irresponsible of you to go to a hairdresser with those in your hair. Not only are your risking her, but your risking everyone in there.. plus she is going to see them, and not be too happy.
Yes because the hair dresser would probably get rid of them for you
Go with your mother instead.
it depends on the hairdresser. you have to ask... one time i asked my regular one, and she said no.. but someone else took me
erm no. You'll have to get some spray or shampoo stuff that kills nits.
wats nits
please.......
