Say I went in and told them ';Give me the haircut that is good for me'; could they do it?
Also do you think it's a good idea?If I walked into a Hairdressers, Could they advise me the best thing?
YES, but it may not be what you want!!!!
Bring in a few pictures of what you have in mind, and make sure you show up a little early to look through their books. If I walked into a Hairdressers, Could they advise me the best thing?
they would... they may not want to though. maybe tell them if ya want it long or short though!!
I know i'm always tempted to just walk in and tell them to just do wahtever they think would suit me!!
They should be able to advise but keep in mind everyone has different tastes.
Just make sure its a good enough salon, one that has good reviews..also there are hair magazines you can buy that tell you which hairstyle suits which face shape at least than you'd have a few pictures and you could ask them if the ones you like would suit you.
http://www.hairstyle.com/index.htm this is a good website for hair advice also
Best of luck with it xx
If they are good, yes. If not, walk staight out and to another hairstylist. If thats not possible, then google hairstyles and you'll find hairstyles that match your face shap, etc. 8D
if they are good hairdressers yes they should be able to and i hope it is a good idea cos thats what i'm going to be doing in a couple of weeks time!! good luck
Yes, always good to get a professionals opinion. Go armed with ideas though. Give them a plan on what you would like to do, knowing that what they do will only last for a day or so, you will need to get good at copying what they will do. It takes practice and willpower. You can do it. Check out my site to help you with your research.
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/AAA鈥?/a> Thank You!
as a stylist and a salon owner we often have clients come in with the same reasons as you, it is always important that the client has a full free consultation before anything is done with their hair, my salon has the technology to fit any style or colour on the client without a pair of scissors near them
its all computerised so you can see what you would look like with a certain style or colour, beware of any stylist that rushes you into a new style or colour, or if you go into a salon and you kept waiting, and its a different stylist that does your hair
in my salon the stylist will only concentrate on one client at a time, also make sure that any stylist is fully qualified and gives you the style you want, always leave a salon happy with a style you want and can manage and above all you don't have to take out a second mortgage for the pleasure
the top names are not always the best, make sure if the salon is registered with the N.H.F
Go to a high quality salon and I'm sure they'd do great! Just avoid a walk-in great clips type of place.
Go through their magazines and pick out something you like and than ask their opinion on it.
If they know what they are doing they really can! The way you can tell is if they ask you questions: how much time you want to spend doing your hair, what you prefer, where you part it, what you had in mind (celebs), and what you think about the styles that they are suggesting amoung others. Good luck!!
