How do hairdressers do a T section when doing highlights in hair so it makes the hair colour more even.????

we basically take an inch either side of your parting all the way down and go downwards on the rest very simple but effective...How do hairdressers do a T section when doing highlights in hair so it makes the hair colour more even.????
they just colour the top section and down the middle of the back of your head. imagine you have the letter T on your head.

it keeps the hair in better condition as they only colour the bits that showHow do hairdressers do a T section when doing highlights in hair so it makes the hair colour more even.????
Basically means top section. Got it done in Toni and Guy on Saturday, looks great!
a t-section uses just the hair along each side of the parting (forming the upright part of a T) and the hair on the hairline (forming the top of the T). this wont make colour more even, it simply means dyeing less of the hair, as none of the underneath sections are touched, but still giving a similar effect. for highlights this is how the hair would naturally lighten where it is in contact with sunlight. remember if you have longer hair with shorter layers, the lenghth of the underneath, undyed layers may be visible.
